Questions

Everything guests ask us

Do I need riding experience?
None at all. Most of our guests have never been on a horse. We match you with a calm horse and your guide stays next to you — you can walk the whole way, or ask for a canter once you feel steady.
Is it safe to swim with a horse?
Yes. Our horses swim several times a week and love it. You go in bareback with a guide in the water beside you, and you can stop and stand up whenever you like. You do not need to be a strong swimmer.
Can children come?
Children ride from about six years old with a handler leading the horse. On the camel caravans children aged 6–12 pay €29. Younger children are welcome at the desert camp without riding.
Where do the rides start?
At the stable inside SRNTY in Sahl Hasheesh. If you are staying at another hotel in Sahl Hasheesh, Makadi Bay or Hurghada, we arrange pick-up — just send your hotel name on WhatsApp.
What time should I ride?
Early morning or two to three hours before sunset. The light is best then, the sand is cool, and the horses work better. Tell us your day and we will suggest the exact time.
What should I wear?
Long, light trousers and closed shoes are ideal. For the swimming ride, wear swimwear under your clothes and bring a towel. Helmets are here for you.
Do you take photos?
Yes, and it is free. Your guide knows the good spots and shoots on your phone while you ride, so you go home with the photos already on your camera roll.
How do I pay?
On the day, at the desk — no prepayment and no booking fee. Message us to hold your time.
What if the weather is bad?
If it is too windy for the beach or the sea, we move you to a desert-only route or another day. You never lose your money.
